cuia collection is shaped by our Swiss and Brazilian heritage, by a family history in gemstones and by a deep respect for natural materials that has grown across generations.

It began in 1990, when my parents founded a trading company to bring exceptional Brazilian gemstones to Europe. Over the decades, my parents and cousins built direct relationships with miners, traveling to sites to examine rough stones and hand-select those that truly stood apart.

What began as wholesale trading grew into something more personal. La Pierre, our boutiques across Switzerland devoted to fine jewelry, decorative objects and rare gemstones for collectors. Alongside this, they built close partnerships with master craftsmen across three of the world's great stone traditions: the mines and cutting houses across Brazil, the lapidary ateliers of Idar-Oberstein in Germany and the jade carving masters of Suzhou in China, where the art of shaping stone by hand has been refined for roughly 7000 years.

Stone has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. At eight years old, I began creating my own jewelry in our atelier and grew up helping out in our boutiques. I visited mines, met suppliers and craftsmen and learned where our materials came from firsthand. Many of these relationships began during my childhood and today I am very fortunate to still be working with some of the same suppliers who have partnered with my family since those early years.

cuia collection is my way of bringing this world of stone into the home. From gemstones to marble and quartzite, the collection brings together exceptional materials with my own perspective on design. Each stone is selected for its rarity, character and natural beauty, then shaped into timeless objects designed to take centre stage while letting the material speak.
